Minecraft turns 15 next year and has proven just how popular it still is.
The game has now sold over 300 million copies. To put that into perspective, that doesn't even compare to Grand Theft Auto V's sales of over 185 million copies.
Even being released a little later didn't make any difference because Minecraft exceeded the 200 million mark in 2020. Mojang Studios announced this success during a Live event where the new features coming to the game were shared.
A new Star Wars: Path of the Jedi DLC and Planet Earth DLC are also in development and will be available on November 7 and early next year, respectively.
Helen Chiang, president of Mojang Studios, said: “15. "As we approach its anniversary, Minecraft continues to be one of the best-selling games of all time, with sales of more than 300 million copies," he said. “This is an unimaginable turning point for all of us,” she said.
The game's exact release date is a bit confusing. Game developer Markus Persson, commonly known as Notch, first released the game to the public in 2009, but the game was not officially released until late 2011.
Persson used the initial launch as an opportunity to make the game better. The experience will be further improved with alpha and beta updates soon. Jens Bergesten took over as lead designer at the end of the same year, and the official Minecraft game was released on iOS in November 2011.

Minecraft Star Wars: Path of the Jedi DLC pack, first announced by Mojang Studios at the Minecraft Live event in October, has been released. The DLC pack will allow players to transform from Padawan to Jedi Knight during the Clone Wars era of the sci-fi movie series.
Mojang says that the DLC pack will begin the adventure with your player entering the Jedi Academy, where you will learn the ways of the Force. According to the studio, you better learn these lessons soon: “The Clone Wars are wreaking havoc across the universe; Yoda, Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano and other familiar faces await on missions that will take you to new biomes and a previously unexplored planet. The exact details of the missions are for Jedi eyes only, but it's safe to say: You'll never look at our square moon the same way again!”
It is stated that in the game, players will be able to fight monsters on the desert planet Tatooine, as well as going on missions with Master Yoda. Mojang hints that these tasks can be solved in many different ways. This means that the DLC pack offers replayability.
Path of the Jedi will also allow players to customize their own lightsabers and their own droids. All players will be able to get the R2D2 t-shirt for their Minecraft characters, even if they do not buy the DLC pack.
Minecraft Star Wars: Path of the Jedi can be purchased from the in-game Marketplace.

What is Soft Voxels Lite?
This is the free edition of my Soft Voxels Shaderpack, which intends to be a minimalistic and rather performant shaderpack that relies on voxels and path-tracing to give you some fast yet good looking lighting. This obviously also includes proper colored lighting from various emitters. As there is no actual shadowmap the direct light from sun and moon is rather soft, giving the pack its signature overcast outdoor-looks.
What features does it offer?
- path-traced lighting
- temporal upscaling (TAAU), at 50% by default
- dynamic fog
- screenspace godrays
- screenspace reflections
- waving foliage
- resourcepack specular support (according to labPBR specification)
- Optifine for 1.16 or newer
- alternatively Iris 1.5.0 or newer
- GTX 1050/RX 560 or similar/better (has to support OpenGL 4.3), GTX1660/RX 5600XT or better recommended for 1080p at default settings
- Windows/Linux
- Intel HD 5000 Graphics and older are NOT supported!

What are Sunflawer Shaders?
Sunflawer Shaders are shaders that are meant to bring the best out of BSL made by Capt Tatsu, basically a modified version of BSL. The clouds, the colors, the water, the reflections, the shadows are different, etc. The peformance is very high and is playable in every GPU (which means it also supports every GPU).
What do I do if I get issues?
If you get any issues, you must comment in the page of the shaders, and the owner (me) will notice quickly.
Why is the description so lazy?
I don't have any ideas of descriptions yet, I'll change that later.
Why are you making so much shaders?
Making shaders started to be my hobby, so I want to try to make different shaders and learn from the mistakes I do. It's also a way of sharing my creativity.
What's the purpose of the shaders?
The shaders are supposed to make BSL look extreme, while not taking too much peformance.
Any other shaders I should download?
You should download BSL, Vanilla Plus, Kappa, Nostalgia, BBL, Oceano, Windom, Exposa and RRe36's Shaders.

About
Solas is a new Minecraft Java Edition shaderpack which aims to provide stunning visuals at a relatively low performance cost. It was originally intended to serve as Prismarine Shader's successor. Please check the "Images" section to see some screenshots showcasing the shader's visual style and general look.
Unique Technologies
Solas is one of the first shaderpacks to achieve the goal of super fast per-block colored lighting in Minecraft. It is done by blurring the block texture which costs little performance while maintaining good visual appearance.
Many other shaderpacks with 3D volumetric clouds have a problem of them leaking into closed spaces like caves or mountains. Solas fixes that problem by toggling a cloud shadow check in cases when a closed space is detected, thus essentially turning volumetric clouds into volumetric light.
Another problem a lot of shaderpacks have is shadow light leaking and peter panning which is minimized in Solas.
Key Features
- 3D volumetric clouds, volumetric light, volumetric Nether & End fog.
- Water, atmospheric and border fog.
- Water light absorption and refraction.
- Fast multicolored block lighting.
- Fancy sky effects: aurora borealis, Milky Way, Ender Nebula, Ender Vortex and more.
- Cinematic post effects: bloom, chromatic aberration, depth of field, distant blur, TAA, FXAA.
- Integrated PBR resourcepack featuring specular mapping, generated normals and emission.
- Advanced lighting model: better vanilla ambient occlusion, variable penumbra shadows, specular highlight.
- Many customizable options with their proper translations to English, Russian, Chinese, French and Spanish languages.

Description
Hello! This is Exposa! Used to be known as Exposa Unique Shaders. This project is a shaderpack that aims for both a natural and a fantasy style.
Compatibility
It is compatible with Optifine and Iris, unknown about other mods and clients. It is also recommended to be used for versions 1.17x and above. It works well with AMD and NVIDIA, INTEL and APPLE being unknown (Apple is probably not supported due to some of the things that the shaderpack does).
Nether and End support are limited at the moment, so don't expect full compatibility.
License
For the most, I use the all rights reserved license, but I really wouldn't recommend using my code (I did not intend it for the use of being edited). If you'd like to edit anyway, you can ask me here!
Features
- rough reflections
- water reflections
- shadows
- motion blur
- depth of field
- puddles
- temporal anti aliasing
- HDR
- bloom
- tonemapping
- lightshafts
- volumetric clouds

RedHat is a shaderpack for Minecraft: Java Edition based on the popular shader Chocapic13.
This shaderpack features awesome colors, many features, tons of configurations, and a pretty good performance.
RedHat works both on Iris and Optifine, and during 2021 and 2022 it became one of the most popular edits of the time.
Features
RedHat features many lighting effects such as Godrays (both 3D and 2D, if you have a low-end machine), Shadows, Underwater Light Absorption, and many more.
The shaderpack features reflections too, and it also reflects some light on all surfaces, to make everything look cooler and more plastic (configurable as well).
There are many cinematic options such as Lens Flares, Depth of Field (Chromatic Aberration included), Grain, Tilt Shift, and others.
Then there are the colors, which change depending on the time, making everything more realistic and fantasy at the same time.
There are many effects related to movement as well. All foliage or hanging things wave (like lanterns when they hang), and there are Waving Hand and Waving Camera options too.
If that wasn't enough, RedHat supports all versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.19 and 1.18.2, and it supports all custom skies of texture packs! And it also supports vanilla minecraft clouds!
Lastly, there are many atmospherics effects such as Fog and Clouds, Round moon and sun, and other stuff like PBR support, Auto-Exposure, Stars, and many, many other things.
There are a lot of ways you can customize your shaderpack, and make it look like the way you want, and you can do all of that through the settings menu!
Requirements
Although, since RedHat isn't a very low-end shader, there are some requirements. Here you can see all of them.
GPU: Must support OpenGL 3.2 and have at least 1GB of VRAM. AMD, NVIDIA and Intel are all supported (You'll have to decrease some settings to play smoothly with Intel GPUs).
CPU: Must have a minimum clock speed of 1GHzRAM: You must have located at least 2GB of RAM in your game
OS: Windows (7,8, 8.1, 10, 11), Linux (Mesa drivers might lead to issues)
Shadermod: Optifine or Iris (Iris may have some issues)
MC Version: 1.7.2, up to 1.19
If you use RedHat without meeting these requirements, then keep in mind you'll take a risk.
FAQ
In this section i'll answer common questions.
Is RedHat for low-end computers? I suggest it for medium-range pcs, although, with some lowered settings, you can still play at 40-50 FPS with Intel UHD GPUsCan i use PVP texture-packs on 1.8.9 with this? As always, i suggest using the latest version, although it will work perfectly fine, and the custom sky will show the custom sky with the RedHat colors, making it look very nice.
Where do i report bugs? You can report bugs in the comments of the curseforge page, or in the discord.
